Girl Sketch From Reference
It’s been a busy month and I haven’t had much time for drawing so I did this quick sketch from reference. I wish I could find the reference image I used. I found it on Pinterest but haven’t been able to find it since. I’ll keep looking.

Zidane Tribal 2000 vs 2014
For me it’s always great to go back and see how I’ve improved my drawing skills over the years. It’s fun to take old sketches I did a long time ago and redraw the subject matter in the way I draw now. The image below is a side-by-side comparison of an image I drew in […]
Photo Reference for Comic
Lately, I have been doing a lot of work on my comic book and when I get stuck on the pose that I can’t figure out I am not only the artist but the model as well.
Armchair Assassin
I finished up two jobs this week, so I gave myself some time to do a personal sketch. Still trying to conform my style to appeal towards adults. It’s still a work in progress but man it feels good to just draw for enjoyment. It feels like it’s been forever.

First off I’d like to start off with a quote from one of my instructors in college about working in Adobe PhotoShop. He said “There are a thousand ways to solve the same problem in PhotoShop”. This statement is 100% true. I know there are so many other ways to accomplish a nice clean line […]

Warming up Digital Figure Drawing with PoseManiacs.com
It’s always nice to start my work day off with some gesture sketching. Unfortunately, I don’t have a live model on call or have a lot of time to go through photo reference sites looking for a pose to sketch. Maybe I could just find a magazine, but my computer is right here and I […]
Pink Haired Girl
I was messing around in sketchbook Pro the other day and came up with this pink haired girl. The sketch took me about a half hour with a few adjustments the next day.
“And now,” cried Max, “let the wild rumpus start!” RIP Maurice Sendak
When thinking about a favorite children’s book of mine, there really was only one that stood out among the rest…Where the Wild Things Are. Way back when I was a little monster I fell in love with this book. Really what is there not to love? Monsters, check, trouble making, check, kid in wolf pajamas, […]
